The Buffalo Bills are 7-3 and coming off a bye as they enter Week 12 to face the Los Angeles Chargers who have the opposite record at 3-7. Justin Herbert has been fantastic, but will it be enough to propel them past a tough Bills team? 888sport has the Bills as -5.5 favourites (-110)

Cross-country blues
The last time we saw the Buffalo Bills, they had just fallen victim to a wild Hail Mary connection between the Arizona Cardinals’ Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins. They lost 32-30 after Nuk came down with the ball over a handful of defenders as time expired.
It was demoralizing, to say the least, but the Bills should be ready to bounce back here in Week 12 against a struggling Chargers team that has only been able to eke out wins against bottom-feeders like the New York Jets and Cincinnati Bengals. The Bills are also coming off a bye, while the Chargers will have to travel coast-to-coast to play in an early game.
Justin Herbert is doing his thing and will most likely win Offensive Rookie of the Year if he keeps it up, but the Chargers simply don’t have it. They have lots of talent, but they seem incapable of closing out games and currently rank as the second-worst 4th quarter team in the NFL.
In recent history, the Chargers have had their way with the Bills, which actually makes a lot of sense when you realize that the Bills are only now starting to look like a legitimate threat. The Chargers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games against the Bills and 7-1 SU in their last 8.
Just by looking at these numbers, it seems reasonable to expect the Chargers to keep up this trend, but my sixth sense tells me that the Bills will handle their business this time around.
The 2020 Bills are different. They beat a high-powered Seahawks team back in Week 9 and should’ve beaten the Cardinals before their bye week.
The 2020 Chargers seem like the same old Chargers that can’t close games. To be honest, as well as Herbert is playing, I don’t see the Chargers even putting up much of a fight.
888sport has the point spread favouring the Bills by -5.5 (-110) at home. The Bills are rested, and the Chargers are traveling cross-country to play in an early game. I’m more than comfortable backing the Bills on the spread here.
