Brady is showing his age

It may be time to accept that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are not as good as everyone likes to believe they are.  They only lost by 3 last week against the Rams, but Tom Brady had a poor showing as he was picked off twice and only threw for 216 yards.  He has done alright so far, but he appears to be regressing into more of a game-manager at this point in his career.

The Bucs’ defense has also been underwhelming, particularly against the pass where they’re allowing 237.5 yards per game.  Their run defense remains efficient however and ranks first overall in rushing yards allowed per game at just 73.

This means that Patrick Mahomes will have to use his pass-catchers more, since Clyde Edwards-Helarie may find trouble running through the trenches, but he probably isn’t too worried since he has dominant players like Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill just waiting to explode every game.

The Chiefs are rolling at 9-1 and look poised to take the AFC again, but they may have some trouble against Tampa Bay, who will be looking to prove that they are a legitimate contender after last week’s loss.

Kansas City is the better team in my eyes, but I like the Buccaneers to keep it within +3.5 points at home (888sport -110) and it’ll be a high-scoring game so I like the OVER to hit here as well (888sport 56.0 -110).
