Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Green Bay Packer NFL, Raymond James Stadium

Old Man Brady welcomes aging veteran Aaron Rodgers to Tampa Bay for an exciting matchup of offensive skill. The name of the game is points, ladies and gentlemen. These are two of the league’s best offensive units and 888sport has the OVER/UNDER set at 54 (1.91)

Pack In Brady, Rodgers Takes the Battle of the Bays

I’ll admit I was one of the many (foolish) people who believed Aaron Rodgers finished. He hasn’t looked like the real Aaron Rodgers in a few seasons, but I think he’s back. And with a vengeance.

The Green Bay Packers are 4-0 and coming off a bye. We could end this preview right here, but I wouldn’t do that to you.

Instead, I’ll give you some Aaron Rodgers for the 2020 season so far. He’s completing 70.5% of his passes, has scored 13 passing touchdowns, has not intercepted the ball and has a ridiculous QBR of 92.5. He’s currently the only quarterback with a score above 90.

The guy’s all-time. I didn’t need to tell you that for you to have faith in him this weekend, but a friendly reminder doesn’t hurt.

The Packers rank first in total offense, scoring an average of 38 points per game through their first four games, and are averaging 445.5 yards per game; good for second place behind the Dallas Cowboys. Aaron Jones has been wonderful for their rushing attack, as he’s averaging 93.5 rushing yards per game and has 4 rushing touchdowns to his name thus far. Rodgers also gets his favourite weapon, Davante Adams, back this week too.

As for Tampa Bay, they really disappointed everybody in Week 5 by putting up a weak performance against the Chicago Bears of all teams. Tom Brady was sacked 3 times and threw for only 253 yards.

I’m not all that up on the Tom Brady-Tampa hype train this season as they’re completely average on offense, but I think they’ll ramp it up here against a much more threatening opponent like the Green Bay Packers. Wide receiver Chris Godwin might still be out, but if Mike Evans is on the field, Brady has a strong target to throw to.

Green Bay has beaten both NFC South teams they’ve faced so far this season, and I think the same will apply here, but Tampa will have a strong offensive showing as well. I would take the game total to hit OVER, which 888sport has set at 54 (1.91).

If you want to take it a step further and maximize value, Betway has the OVER 57 total points cashing at 2.50.

I think we’re going to see a lot of points in this game, but I also think the Packers will end up getting the best of the Buccaneers and will cover the spread which 888sport has set at -2.0 (1.92).
