The Pittsburgh Steelers are rockin’ and rollin’ as they sit on a perfect 7-0 record, while the Dallas Cowboys will be lucky if they manage another win this season. In true David and Goliath fashion, oddsmakers have Pittsburgh as massive road favourites. They’re favoured to win by -13.5 (1.91 888sport)

This may get ugly
The Dallas Cowboys are 2-6 after their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in primetime last week. The Eagles are not a good team, but the Cowboys are far worse.
Dak Prescott’s backup, Andy Dalton missed this game with a concussion after a foul hit in Week 7. Third-stringer Ben DiNucci was forced to step in for their matchup against the Eagles in Week 8, and the offense looked as putrid as ever. They failed to score a single touchdown and eventually lost to an injury-riddled Eagles team 23-9.
This is a lost season for the Dallas Cowboys and if not for some truly miserable teams (*cough*both New York teams*cough), they might be the worst team in the NFL. There isn’t much that can save this team. The defense was already awful pre-Dak injury, and the offense won’t generate anything with Ben DiNucci under center, who only managed 180 yards, fumbled four times, and lost two of them against the Eagles.
Meanwhile, the Steelers are red-hot and boast the only undefeated record in the league. They just humbled their rivals, the Baltimore Ravens in Week 8 on their home turf, and are favoured on the road again by 888sport as -13.5 (1.91) favourites.
I have no problem with this. Sure, Big Ben Roethlisberger doesn’t look like his former self as he averages only 6.6 yards per passing attempt and a QBR of 63.4, but this team looks like a well-oiled machine.
They have a great receiver corps and RB James Connor performs well enough to keep the running game alive. Their defense remains elite as well as they’ve allowed the third-fewest total yards on the season.
The Cowboys don’t stand a chance. The Steelers should blow them out but I have no confidence in Dallas to generate any kind of offense. Take the under in this one.
Stats
- Pittsburgh is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games.
- The UNDER has cashed in 13 of Pittsburgh’s last 17 games on the road.
- Dallas is 0-8 ATS in their last 8 games.
- Dallas is 1-5 SU in their last 6 games.
