It’s that time of year again when the most promising collegiate football stars around the country prepare for what could be one of the most important days of their lives: the NFL Draft. The 2021 NFL draft is scheduled to take place in Cleveland, Ohio, and will commence on Thursday, April 29, and conclude on Saturday, May 1.

Many promising young prospects can make significant impacts if they’re drafted to the right team. However, it’s always tricky to predict where players may land, especially when trades are made leading up to the draft, on draft day before it kicks off, or even during the draft itself.

Teams will go after what they need, but when it comes to betting on the big day, it doesn’t hurt to have a helping hand, which you can get with Betpicks predictions. Betpicks offers NFL expert picks for the draft and betting advice for the draft.

The best NFL predictions strongly indicate that the Jacksonville Jaguars will snag former Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence with the first overall pick. It’s a safe assumption since the Jaguars have been dying of thirst for a quarterback for what seems like forever now. He’s widely touted as the best quarterback prospect since Andrew Luck, so that’s saying a lot and pretty much locks him up as the 2021 No. 1 overall pick.

Lawrence’s odds on Betway to be taken at No. 1 overall are listed at -10000, so yeah, there’s virtually zero value there. However, stranger things have happened before, and if you want to take a wild stab in the dark, you can go with a few other options to go first overall.

After Lawrence, we’ve got another quarterback, Zach Wilson, at +1400, but after the Jets got rid of Sam Darnold a few weeks back, he’s looking like he’s the Jets’ for the taking if the Jaguars grab Lawrence at first. Yet another quarterback, Justin Fields, is listed at +2500.

As I previously mentioned, Lawrence is 99.99% sure to be selected first, so you’re better off betting on a different market for the big day.

Betway offers several Draft Day specials, including who the first player drafted for each key position will be and how many of each position will be drafted in the first few rounds.

The best NFL predictions say go for either Najee Harris or Travis Etienne as the first running back selected. Harris is the betting favorite at -163 odds, but it’s possible that Etienne gets snagged before him. His odds are listed at +162, so you’ll be getting some sweet value there as well.

In addition to the prop bets mentioned above, you can also select an OVER/UNDER result for when a player will be chosen. One of the best bets for this market is to take WR Jaylen Waddle to be drafted under the 11.5 spot at -105.

Another solid prop is to take Patrick Surtain II as the first defensive player selected, which Sports Interaction has listed at -115 odds.

The following is the top prospect by position:

QB – Trevor Lawrence

RB – Najee Harris

WR – Ja’Marr Chase

TE- Kyle Pitts

OL – Penei Sewell

Edge/DE – Kwity Paye

DL – Christian Barmore

LB – Micah Parsons

CB – Caleb Farley

S – Trevon Moehrig

There’s no telling what’s going to happen come draft day, but stay up to date with the latest odds and make your betting picks. There are tons of markets to choose from because, as usual, Draft Day is never dull.
