Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have been rolling on the offensive side of the ball for nearly the entirety of the first half of this 2020 season, and it doesn’t seem like the one-win Jacksonville Jaguars will be the ones to slow that roll, especially with A-Rod’s weapons arsenal nearly at full capacity.
Free Picks: Green Bay Packers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Green Bay Packers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars, NFL, Lambeau Field
It is no secret that Aaron Rodgers and his 6-2 squad have been nearly unstoppable in 2020, and that’s with nearly all of his top skill players missing at least one game to injury or illness. But now, with Aaron Jones back from his injury and Jamaal Williams also likely to return this week, A-Rod’s got a full stable of weapons to play with, which should strike fear in the opposition.
Especially if that opposition is the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have lost seven straight after notching a huge upset win in Week 1. Since then, Minshew Mania hasn’t exactly lived up to the hype, but their defense has been the real issue. Sending out a defense like that against a signal-caller like Rodgers surely has Jags defensive coordinator Todd Wash shuddering at the thought.
Jacksonville’s defense has been allowing 30.9 points per game this season, the second-highest number in the NFL. On the flip side, the Packers have been an offensive juggernaut, putting up 31.6 points per game, third-most in the league. That is a recipe for a big offensive day for the Packers, which makes betting the over on their team total of 32.5 at -121 odds on sports betting site 888sport very attractive. Green Bay has scored 30+ points in all six of their wins, while the Jags have given up 30+ in six of their past seven games.
If you want to double down on the Packers offense, another great prop to consider would be Packers to score over 3.5 touchdowns at -127 odds on 888sport, though they cannot be parlayed together since they are markets from the same game. Green Bay is averaging 3.8 touchdowns a game, and they’ve scored at least four in each of their six victories while Jacksonville has been allowing an average of 3.5 touchdowns per game this season.
Stats
- Green Bay has scored 4+ TDs in each of their six wins.
- Jacksonville is allowing the 2nd-most points per game in the NFL.
- Green Bay has put up 34+ points in five of eight games.
- Green Bay has scored 30+ in 5 of 6 games against teams below .500.
