The lowly Minnesota Vikings will travel to Green Bay to take on Aaron Rodgers and the Packers in a divisional battle. Boasting a 5-1 record and the lead in the NFC North, 888sport has the Packers favoured by -6.5 at home (1.91).

Pack it in, Vikes
The last time we saw the Green Bay Packers, they got humiliated by Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That was back in Week 6. Now they after their bye, they get a smooth home matchup this week against division rival Minnesota Vikings, in what should be an easy victory.
The Minnesota Vikings have massively overachieved this season thus far as many pundits had them emerging with the NFC North under their belt at the end of the season. They currently sit at 1-5, while the Packers are 5-1 and leading that division.
Apart from their lone defeat this season, the Packers have been incredibly efficient on offense and they still rank 2nd overall in points per game 32.8.
The Viking’s defense has been awful as they rank in the bottom-five in yards allowed per game at 413.7 and rank 20th in opponent pass completions at 24. They will have a difficult time containing Aaron Rodgers who is a master at finding the right pockets to throw the ball in.
Recently, the Packers have had the upper hand against the spread in games against the Vikings with a record of 3-0, but in their last 10 meetings they are evenly matched at 5-5. Games between these two teams have historically hit the UNDER as well, which is not surprising given the cold-weather environments and the intense rivalry. With Minnesota playing terribly and Green Bay coming off a bye, I expect them to win this one easily but Minnesota won’t score enough points to make this one go over 52.5 (1.91 888sport).
Stats
- Minnesota is 1-6 SU in their last 7 games
- Minnesota is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games against Green Bay
- Green Bay is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 home games against Minnesota
- The UNDER has cashed in 9 of Green Bay’s last 12 games against Minnesota
