Though generally considered to be the best division in the NFL, the NFC West’s former top dogs have been having some trouble of late. The Seattle Seahawks have lost two of their last three after a 5-0 start, while the Los Angeles Rams were embarrassed in a Week 8 loss to the Miami Dolphins before their bye last week. Both teams will be looking to right ship when the rivals clash on Sunday afternoon.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks, NFL, SoFI Stadium
Oh, how quickly we forget. Just a few short weeks ago many were ready to crown Russell Wilson and the Seahawks as the MVP and the NFL champs, respectively. But now? They’re listed as underdogs against a Rams team with a worse record than them and who just lost in brutal fashion to the Dolphins during their last game.
That probably has a lot to do with the fact that the Seahawks defense has been nothing more than a traffic cone out there this year, giving up the third-most points per game this season (30.4), including a 44-34 loss to the Bills last week that represented just the second time since 2012 that the team has given up 40+ in a game. Quarterback and MVP favorite (+125 on 888sports) Russell Wilson has been just as bad of late, however, posting seven turnovers over his past three outings.
Thankfully for the Seahawks, Wilson-led teams have gone 5-1 following a double-digit loss, showing the pride and determination that should lead to a big bounce back performance when they take on a very suspect Rams against whom they are surprising +2 underdogs (-111) on Sunday on sports betting site Betway.
The Rams have had two weeks to think about all of the mistakes they (and especially quarterback Jared Goff) made during their last game, but while Goff doesn’t inspire much confidence, it’s not really their offense that should be worried—it’s the defense that needs to buckle up. Seattle’s offense is as good as their defense is bad, leading the league with 34.3 points per game so far this year, hanging at least 30 points on seven of their eight opponents.
You simply can’t keep Wilson down: he’s gone 9-3 in games directly following a multi-interception performance in his career. The Seahawks are being given two points, so you can take that safe play, or you can go right for the plus odds on the Seattle moneyline (+110) on Betway. But act quick, because all of the action is going on the Seahawks right now, so that line is bound to move.
Stats
- Seattle is 5-1 in last six games following a double-digit defeat.
- Underdog has covered the spread in 14 of the last 20 meetings between these teams.
- Seattle is 4-0 ATS in their last four following a game in which they gave up 30+.
- Seattle is 6-1-1 ATS in their last eight November games.
