Free Picks: Seattle Seahawks vs Arizona Cardinals

The Seahawks are reeling after dropping two consecutive games, and after losing last week to the Los Angeles Rams, they look to get back on track this weekend when they face the Arizona Cardinals, another NFC West rival who got the best of them earlier this season. Betway has the Cardinals as +3.0 underdogs (+100).

The NFC West is one of the toughest divisions in football.  Currently, the Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks, and the Arizona Cardinals all have a 6-3 record.

The last time the Seahawks and the Cardinals played each other, it was back in Week 7 in what was possibly the most exciting game of the 2020 season so far.  The Cardinals emerged victorious 37-34 in an overtime thriller.

Both teams feature young, dynamic, and mobile quarterbacks who can light up the scoreboard seemingly at will.

Russell Wilson is coming off his worst game of the season where he threw two interceptions and fumbled twice.  He also struggled with turnovers against Arizona last time where he threw three interceptions, but he made it up for it with 388 passing yards and three touchdowns.  Apart from those games, he’s been great and has 28 passing touchdowns on the season and a passer rating of 110.5%.

Seattle is highly potent on offense because they have great players at every skill position, but their defense is a different story.  They rank dead last in total and passing yards allowed per game, which is great news for Arizona who has elite wide receiver Deandre Hopkins available to wreak havoc on their pathetic secondary.

The Seahawks would probably prefer that Kyler Murray throw the ball instead of letting him run around the field, but either way, they will have their hands full with the young superstar.

It’ll be a close one, but I like the Cardinals to cover the +3.0 point spread, as the Seahawks are just 1-4 against the spread in their last 5 games.  The Cardinals also have the upper hand recently against the spread when facing Seattle, where they’ve covered in 4 of their last 5 meetings.
