It’s a tale of two different teams Friday night. The undefeated Vegas Golden Knights are hoping to continue their dominance over Arizona. The Coyotes have lost two straight to the Golden Knights and have struggled to light the lamp. Squaring off for the third time this season, can the Coyotes make the necessary adjustments to drop Vegas?

Sitting a perfect 4-0-0, will Vegas remain undefeated?
The NHL season has just started and already are the Vegas Golden Knights are separating themselves from the pack. Without a blemish on their record so far, the Golden Knights will attempt to remain undefeated taking on the Arizona Coyotes.
Friday’s contest against Arizona marks the third straight game against the Coyotes. Through the past two games, Arizona has managed to muster just two goals in each of the first two games.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Arizona has had scoring trouble to open the season. Looking up and down their roster, is there really anyone that can take control of a game? Phil Kessel and Clayton Keller are two names that stick out, but I wouldn’t consider them dominant.
Looking by goals scored per game, the Coyotes average 3 goals per game to open the season. However, as we know, they were below average against Vegas through their first two meetings. The Coyotes tallied 8 goals in 2 games against San Jose, so there are scoring capabilities. With that being said, Arizona’s offense is hurting tremendously.
Vegas and Arizona are also on two sides of the spectrum in goals against per game. The Golden Knights own one of the best goals against per game, while the Coyotes own nearly the worst goals against per game, which is 3.75. Only three teams allow more goals per game than Arizona.
With how strong Vegas’ defense is compared to Arizona’s offense, I think we’ll see this contest remain status quo. The Golden Knights are one of my favorite teams on BetPicks and I think they make light work of the Coyotes.
It’s no surprise that the Knights are favorites at -105 (Betway), considering how frequent Vegas dominates NHL odds. Picks and predictions are never easy, but I am confident in Vegas continuing their winning streak against Arizona.
