One of the biggest strengths the Lightning have is their offense. After struggling in recent games, the Lightning lit the lamp against Nashville Saturday night. With a quick turnaround, we’ll see if the Predators can bounce back on short notice. Both teams are trying gain ground in the Central Division and this is a huge contest for both teams. Can the Lightning continue their winning ways against Nashville?
Free Picks: Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Nashville Predators
Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Nashville Predators, NHL, Amalie Arena
Struggling to score, the Lightning have found their mojo.
It’s been a rough stretch of games for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Falling to Columbus 5-2 and then to Carolina 1-0, the Lightning have struggled on offense over the past two games.
Thankfully for Tampa Bay, they managed to pick up a much-needed win over Nashville 4-3, ending their 2-game losing skid. Monday night, Nashville will attempt to bounce back when they battle Tampa Bay once again.
I think Saturday’s contest was a glimpse into the future. What do I mean by that? I think the Lightning’s offense is back. Teams go through struggles and woes and it appears as if Tampa Bay’s offensive woes and subsided.
Nashville has struggled all year to close out victories. When they do, the score is usually close. Nashville has not won by more than 1 goal since week 1 of the NHL season. To give credit to the Predators, when they lose, Nashville is usually battling until the end. This makes me think that the Predators puck line (+1) might be a viable option for this game.
With that being said, I think this is Tampa Bay’s game to win. I know, I usually stand on Tampa Bay’s side with BetPicks, but after their performance against Nashville I think they are one of the best NHL bets you can make. The Lightning look to be back in usual form and I believe they can take down Nashville in consecutive games.
Unless we see an offensive surge from Nashville, I can’t see them contending with Tampa Bay. The Lightning have bounced back and I think they can keep rolling Monday night.
Stats
- The Preds are 2-4 SU in last 6 games.
- Nashville are 0-5 SU in last 5 games on the road.
- Tampa Bay are 4-1 straight up in last 5 at home.
- The Lightning are 8-3 (W/L) in last 11 games.
